Our London to Brighton Cycle Ride remains scheduled to go ahead as planned!
Following recent Government announcements on the schedule for the easing of the U.K. lockdown, we are increasingly hopeful the event will be able go ahead as planned on Sunday 13 September 2020, and would therefore encourage all participants to continue signing up, training and fundraising as normal.
The safety of our participants and staff remains our priority and we are currently planning ‘COVID-secure’ measures to be put in place on the day, in order to keep everyone safe to ensure social distancing can be observed if required, details of which will be provided soon. We are fortunate to have a lower capacity than some of the U.K’s bigger events, and to work with venues that make social distancing possible.
Given the substantial impact the pandemic has had on charitable income, we feel it’s our duty to give the event every chance of going ahead. This will give our charity partners an opportunity to raise some desperately needed funds after an extremely challenging year.
We will continue to monitor the situation, and follow all Government & British Cycling advice. Should there be any changes, we will update this page and communicate with all existing participants accordingly.
